Forrest was born and raised in South Minneapolis. He has spent his lifetime learning the trades from masters. These crafts include masonry, carpentry and the science and craft behind all paints.
Forrest got his start as a painter with the influence of Ira Coyne in Olympia Washington. With the collaboration of Von Sven, J. Witte and Sean Barton they started the La Pantura Paint Collective. Forrest has worked in Utah, Wyoming, Olynmpia, New Mexico, New Orleans, Bellingham, New York and Pittsburgh.
